On September 30, 2015, Westlake Financial Services, LLC and Wilshire Consumer Credit, LLC (the “Companies”) entered into a Consent Order with the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau. Additional information about the Consent Order can be found at http://files.consumerfinance.gov/f/201509_cfpb_consent-order-westlake-services-llc.pdf.

For all Group A Consumers receiving a refund check and a balance reduction: The Consent Order requires the companies to make payments to or reduce the account balance of consumers who may have experienced deceptive or unfair debt collection practices.

For all Group B Consumers receiving a refund check: The Consent Order requires the companies to make payments to consumers who may have experienced deceptive or unfair debt collection practices.

For all Storage Phone Call Consumers receiving a refund check: The Consent Order requires the companies to make payments to consumers who may have experienced deceptive debt collection practices.

For all Modified Account Consumers receiving a balance reduction (i.e., those consumers whose accounts are still active or have been charged off): The Consent Order requires Westlake to reduce the account balance of consumers who may have been deceived regarding the effects of due date changes or account extensions entered without the consumers’ consent.

For all Modified Account Consumers receiving a refund check (i.e., those consumers whose accounts have been paid in full): The Consent Order requires Westlake to make payments to consumers who may have been deceived regarding the effects of due date changes or account extensions entered without the consumers’ consent.
